Booking & cancellation terms

These terms apply to all day tours and activities booked through Fethiye Excursions. By completing a booking you confirm that you have read and accepted them, together with the details, inclusions, exclusions and conditions shown on the tour page.

1. Organiser

Tours on Fethiye Excursions are organised and/or sold by 4 S Bilgi İşlem Turizm Seyahat Reklam İthalat Ve İhracat Ticaret Limited Şirketi, trading as SunMed Travel Agency (TÜRSAB licence no. A-12195), Siteler Mah. 206 Sok. No. 2 K. 1 D. 111 48700 Marmaris / Muğla / Türkiye.

2. Booking and confirmation

Your booking is confirmed only once the payment has gone through and we have sent you a confirmation or voucher. A payment attempt, a payment authorisation or an unfinished transaction is not a confirmed booking.

Please check your confirmation and voucher as soon as you receive them (names, date, number of people, pickup point, contact details) and tell us straight away if anything is wrong. We book on the basis of the information you give us and are not responsible for the consequences of incorrect, incomplete or out-of-date details, such as a wrong phone number, email address, hotel name, pickup point or passenger details.

Some tours need a minimum number of participants, special operating conditions or confirmation from the supplier. In that case your booking depends on those conditions, and if they aren't met we will tell you and offer the alternatives or refund that apply.

3. Prices, payment and what's included

You pay the price shown when you complete the booking. Prices, availability and tour conditions can change until the booking is completed and confirmed.

The price includes only what the tour page or voucher lists as included. Anything listed as not included, paid locally or optional is paid separately, for example entrance fees, food and drinks not listed as included, optional activities, photos, tips and personal expenses.

You can pay with the methods shown on the website. Card payments and 3D Secure checks are handled by our bank or payment provider; we do not store full card details. If you choose to see prices in GBP, your card is charged in euros (EUR), and the euro amount is shown at checkout before you pay.

4. Cancellation by you

Unless the tour page or voucher states a different policy, the following applies to day tours. Times are counted back from the scheduled tour start or pickup time, Turkish local time.

  • More than 168 hours (7 days) before the tour: 50% of the amount paid is refunded. The other 50% is non-refundable and covers booking, administration, payment processing, supplier and other costs of the reservation.
  • Between 48 and 168 hours before the tour: 30% is refunded and 70% is non-refundable.
  • Less than 48 hours before the tour, including on the day of the tour: no refund.
  • No-show (not being at the pickup point at the confirmed time): no refund.

Cancellations must be sent in writing through a channel that identifies you, such as email or WhatsApp, and take effect when Fethiye Excursions receives them. Telling a driver, guide, hotel employee or anyone else does not count as a cancellation unless it has been passed on to and acknowledged by Fethiye Excursions.

If a tour has its own cancellation policy on its tour page or voucher, that policy applies instead of this one.

5. Date changes and other amendments

You can ask to change the date, number of people, pickup point or other details. Changes depend on availability and on whether they can be arranged. They are not guaranteed and only take effect once Fethiye Excursions confirms them in writing.

Where it is allowed, a booking can be moved to another available date once. A request made less than 48 hours before departure may be treated as a cancellation, in which case the cancellation conditions above apply. You may have to pay any extra cost caused by a change of date, number of people, tour type, pickup point, supplier price or other booking condition. Reducing the number of people counts as a partial cancellation, and the cancellation policy applies to the people removed.

6. No-show, late arrival and missed pickup

You must be at the confirmed pickup point at the exact time on your voucher or confirmation, and allow enough time to get there.

The booking may be treated as a no-show, with no refund, if you:

  • are not at the pickup point, or arrive after the vehicle has left;
  • cannot be found at the confirmed pickup point, or gave a wrong hotel, address or pickup point;
  • do not answer our reasonable attempts to contact you;
  • miss the tour for personal reasons;
  • cannot join because you don't have the required travel documents; or
  • otherwise do not attend.

Where it is operationally possible, and entirely at our discretion, we may offer you another available date; any extra cost may be charged to you. Traffic, delayed flights or ferries, missed connections or other delays to your own travel do not automatically give a right to a refund.

7. Pickup and transport

Pickup times on the confirmation are approximate unless stated otherwise. Please follow the pickup instructions we give you. Pickup times, vehicle type, route order and pickup arrangements may change slightly for operational, traffic, safety or logistical reasons.

If you are staying outside the standard pickup area, a different meeting point or an extra transfer charge may apply. If you don't give us correct accommodation or pickup details, we can't guarantee the pickup and the booking may be treated as a no-show.

8. Changes to the tour by us

We may make reasonable changes to the itinerary, route, vehicle, departure time, pickup, guide, order of activities or service provider when this is reasonably necessary because of safety, weather, traffic, road, port or local authority restrictions, operational needs, supplier availability, too few participants, maintenance or mechanical problems, force majeure or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

A change that doesn't materially affect the essential nature of the tour is not normally a reason for a refund. If a material change means the tour can't be provided as booked, we will offer an alternative where reasonably possible. If there is no reasonable alternative, we will refund the amount paid for the affected service in line with the law.

9. Cancellation by us

We may cancel a tour when it is prevented or materially affected by circumstances such as severe or unsuitable weather, sea or road conditions, official restrictions, safety concerns, mechanical failure, supplier cancellation, too few participants, strikes, natural disasters, public emergencies, force majeure or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

If we cancel before the tour starts, for reasons attributable to us or because the service can't reasonably be provided, we will offer you another date or, where applicable, a refund of the amount paid for the cancelled service. Unless mandatory law requires it, we do not pay compensation for indirect or consequential costs such as flights, accommodation, meals, other transport or lost working time.

10. Weather and sea conditions

Some tours depend on weather, sea and other conditions. Whether a tour can run safely is decided by the organiser, captain, driver, guide or other responsible staff, not by the weather forecast alone. If the tour can run safely, bad weather does not give a right to cancel or to a refund just because you find the conditions unpleasant. If we cancel because the weather or sea makes the tour unsafe or impossible, we will offer you another date or a refund as applicable.

11. Force majeure

We are not responsible for services failing, being delayed or being changed because of events beyond our reasonable control. These include, among others, extreme weather, storms or rough seas, natural disasters, fire, epidemic or pandemic restrictions, war or the threat of war, terrorism or security incidents, strikes, road or port closures, decisions of governments or local authorities, border restrictions, technical or mechanical failures, supplier failures, power or communication failures, and other events that could not reasonably have been prevented. In such cases we will take reasonable steps to limit the effect on you and, where possible, offer another service or date.

12. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • giving accurate booking information and arriving at the pickup point on time;
  • following the instructions of guides, drivers, captains and crew, including safety instructions, and behaving appropriately towards staff and other participants;
  • carrying the documents the tour requires, and getting any visa, permit or travel document you personally need;
  • telling us in advance about mobility, dietary or other special needs; and
  • making sure you are physically and otherwise able to take part safely.

Do not take part under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other substances if this could endanger you, staff or other participants. We may refuse or end someone's participation if their behaviour or condition creates a real safety risk or seriously disrupts the tour. No refund is normally given if you can't take part because you didn't meet a stated tour requirement or ignored reasonable safety instructions.

13. Personal belongings

You are responsible for your belongings throughout the tour. We are not responsible for loss, theft or damage unless the law does not allow this to be excluded. Don't leave valuables unattended in vehicles, boats, restaurants, activity areas or elsewhere.

14. Health and safety

Tell us before the tour about any medical, mobility, dietary or other condition that could affect your participation or safety. Some tours involve swimming, boating, walking, climbing, uneven ground, heat, physical activity or other inherent risks. You are responsible for judging whether an activity is suitable for you and for following all safety instructions. Any extra requirements for a particular activity (age, health, swimming ability, weight, mobility or similar) are part of the booking conditions.

15. Children

Children must be accompanied and supervised as stated on the tour page, and you are responsible for making sure they follow safety instructions. If an activity has age limits, you must give children's correct ages when booking. We may refuse participation if the information given at booking is materially wrong.

16. Third-party suppliers

Some tours include services from independent suppliers, such as transport companies, boats, restaurants, activity operators and guides. We choose and coordinate them carefully, but individual parts of a tour can depend on the supplier's availability, operating needs and local conditions. If a supplier's service changes for legitimate operational or safety reasons, we will offer a comparable alternative where reasonably possible. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

17. Refunds

Refunds are normally made to the original payment method. We start eligible refunds without undue delay, but how long the money takes to reach your account depends on the payment provider and your bank. Unless the law requires otherwise, we don't refund in cash or to a different payment method. Bank, card, currency conversion or intermediary costs outside our control are not our responsibility.

18. Complaints

If something goes wrong during the tour, tell our representative, guide, driver or office as soon as reasonably possible, preferably while the tour is still going, so we have a fair chance to check and fix it. We will still consider complaints made after the tour, but we may not be able to verify or put right things that could have been dealt with at the time. Please include your booking details and any supporting evidence. This does not limit any statutory rights you have.

19. Liability

We are responsible for providing the services we have expressly agreed to provide, subject to the law. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost opportunity or income, missed flights or connections, extra accommodation or personal expenses, arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where the law does not allow it, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

20. Travel documents and border crossings

For tours that cross a border or involve international travel, you alone are responsible for carrying a valid passport, visa, permits, insurance documents and any other documents needed. We may give general information, but meeting entry and travel requirements is your responsibility. If you are refused entry or cannot travel because your documents are not adequate, you are not automatically entitled to a refund; any refund depends on the cancellation conditions and the circumstances of the booking.

21. Photos

Photos or videos may sometimes be taken during tours for operational, record-keeping or promotional purposes. If we want to use identifiable photos of customers for promotion, we will get any consent the law requires.

22. Data protection

We process the personal information you give when booking to manage the reservation, take payment, communicate with you, provide the service, meet legal and accounting obligations and for other legitimate business purposes, in line with data protection law and our Privacy Policy. Card details are processed by our bank or payment provider and we do not store them in full.

23. Communication

You agree that we may contact you about your booking using the details you gave, including email, phone, SMS or WhatsApp. You are responsible for giving a working phone number and email address and for checking messages about your booking before the tour. If you don't receive a message because the contact details you gave were wrong or not working, this does not by itself make the booking invalid.

24. Applicable law and consumer rights

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Nothing in them removes or unlawfully limits any mandatory consumer right or legal protection you have. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest still applies as far as the law allows. Disputes are handled under the mandatory jurisdiction and dispute-resolution rules of Turkish consumer law.

25. Tour-specific conditions

Some tours have extra conditions, for example on minimum or maximum age, minimum number of participants, swimming ability, health or mobility, weight or equipment, pickup areas, weather, cancellation deadlines, passports or visas, entrance fees, meals and drinks, or optional activities. When these are clearly shown on the tour page, booking form, confirmation or voucher, they are part of the booking conditions for that tour. If a tour's own cancellation policy differs from section 4, the policy shown on that tour's booking page or voucher applies.

26. Acceptance

By completing a booking you confirm that the information you gave is accurate; that you have read the tour description, what is and isn't included, and the cancellation conditions; that you understand the pickup and attendance requirements; that you will follow reasonable safety and operational instructions; and that you accept these terms, subject to any mandatory rights you have by law.
